Located in Columbus, Ohio, WhirlWind is a non-profit organization home to a professional contemporary dance company, a pre-professional youth training program, seasonal workshops, drop in classes, and more.

    Join WhirlWind Dance, alongside the WyND Program, as we reflect upon a year of creativity and community engagement and celebrate the generosity and artistic expression made possible by The WhirlWind’s supporters. The Sanctuary on Neil provides a beautiful backdrop as we reminisce on the Awe & Wonder of a magical second season.

    Summer 2024

    We will be hosting three workshops with something to suit each movement artist; those pursuing a professional career in performance (The Move Intensive), those looking to create dance (The Lab Intensive), and teen dancers still training (The Teen Intensive). More details to come.

  • WhirlWind After Dark

    February 15, 10 pm

    AFTER DARK raises funds for our Season II artists and Season II events. Join the dancers as they embrace the challenge of what it is like to twirl in the twilight at The Well Center for Movement. This particular event is for audience members 18 & up.

  • Being a part of WhirlWind has inspired me so deeply as a creative to push boundaries for my own artistic voice; there is no limit on creativity. WhirlWind creates a place for people to believe that what they have inside them is worth sharing with the world. There’s endless room as an artist to feel self-doubt in your work and capabilities, and WhirlWind continues to show up for artists and give them a place to feel valued. Curating a space for people to come together, and experience movement that makes the audience feel like they can relate to it.
